HALFPIPE CANADA, the National snowboard halfpipe team, is holding snowboard and ski clinics across Ontario during the holiday break. These clinics will be held in December at Glen Eden (21), Mt. St Louis Moonstone (22), Lakeridge Resort (28), Horseshoe Resort (29) and Alpine Ski Club (30). The team’s objectives are to raise money for the remaining $10,000 of their $30,000 National team fee and the $225 fee to host a progression day with the Ontario Halfpipe Snowboard team at Mt. St. Louis Moonstone.
The cost of this clinic is $250 per guest and will include a lift ticket, insurance for the day if needed, lunch, goodie bag, an educational talk by the Olympians about challenges and how to overcome them followed by a Q&A period, signing/photo session, and great door prizes. Parents are welcome in the educational talk and the Olympians are open to their questions as well.
The focus of this clinic is to give public access to our Olympians, learn some fundamental skills used in the halfpipe and provide insights to how our athletes became Olympians and what they do as Olympians. Halfpipe CAN also would like to provide parents with support and possibly guidance in the world of competitive snowboarding. We understand the important role a parent plays in the development of these young athletes. This clinic is meant to compliment any program the child/teen may already be participating in over the season.
Please take advantage of this opportunity to connect with your local Olympians. We only have 20 spots per camp so book your shredder in today!
