Snow Makers

Snowmaking Technicians are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our snowmaking system.

Snowmaking Technicians are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our snowmaking system.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining snow levels across the entire resort using high pressure air & water to ensure excellent snow quality for our guests.
  • Will maintain snowmaking equipment before, during and after use to ensure efficient performance and safety of equipment.
  • Will be responsible for checking snow texture and making adjustments as needed.
  • Reporting to the Director of Outside Operations of any changes in weather and be in constant communication with the entire crew.
  • Snowmaking is a 24hr, 7 day a week operation that is constantly evolving as each shift changes.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Snowmaking keeps you outside in all-weather so an enjoyment of the outdoors is a must!
  • Use of computers
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must be able to drive a snowmobile
  • Valid Driver’s License

Groomers

Groomers get a chance to see the hill in a way very few people do. Groomers are responsible for making sure Lakeridge provides the best possible skiing surfaces for our guests.

Groomers get a chance to see the hill in a way very few people do. Groomers are responsible for making sure Lakeridge provides the best possible skiing surfaces for our guests. Groomers will operate one of our grooming machines to maintain skiing surfaces to the finest level possible.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and maintain a skiing surface for skiers of all levels
  • Fulfill all hauling needs and dozing needs of the other departments
  • Report any equipment damage to Director
  • Operate all the Snow-cats with precision
  • Understand and follow all safety guidelines

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Willing to work early morning, late evening, and overnight shifts. Able to sit for extended periods of time while operating the snow cat – required
  • Willing to work holiday and weekends as required
  • Must be comfortable working outdoors in an alpine, winter environment
  • Must be a team player with a positive attitude
  • Must be 19 years or older
  • Able to climb on and off the vehicles frequently
  • Must be willing to lead by example, and be open to innovative / new ideas
  • Basic understanding of your resort’s trail system – Preferred
  • Previous Snow-cat experience required for Advanced & Intermediate level candidates
  • Understand grooming patterns and methods including pack grooming techniques – required for Advanced & Intermediate
  • Ability to detect noticeable problems with equipment

Park Rangers

You are the right candidate if you have experience riding in the park, enjoy being in the great outdoors and are safety conscious with great communication skills this could be the position for you!

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lifting while maintaining a safe freestyle terrain for skiers and snowboarders.
  • Terrain Park Crew members are responsible for assisting with construct, design, and maintenance of the Park.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • This position requires physical labour
  • Must have your own ski or board equipment.
  • Must possess a friendly and co-operative nature.
  • Must be professional, energetic, and dependable
  • Must be able to reason and react with quick and thoughtful judgment while remaining calm under pressure
  • Must be confident in a team atmosphere
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Ski Patrol

As a front-line employee, you will assist guests in a friendly and efficient manner. Ski patrollers respond to emergencies when a skier becomes sick or gets injured on the slopes. 

As a front-line employee, you will assist guests in a friendly and efficient manner. Ski patrollers respond to emergencies when a skier becomes sick or gets injured on the slopes. They assess the skier’s injuries, provide immediate first aid and prepare the patient for transport down the hill.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Patrollers use a toboggan to take the injured skier down the ski slope, while a designated ski patroller documents the injury or accident, notes the medical condition of the patient and arranges for the patient to be transported to a local medical facility if necessary.

  • Prepare detailed accident reports
  • Provide physical assistance to guests when required.
  • Responsible for maintaining all safety aspects of hill.
  • Maintain a high-quality, friendly and cooperative work ethic and interactive relationship with guests, and other resort staff.
  • Responsible for duties as assigned by the director
  • Must possess excellent public relations skills and be of a friendly and co-operative nature.
  • Must be professional, energetic and dependable
  • Must be able to reason and react with quick and thoughtful judgment while remaining calm under pressure
  • Must be confident in a team atmosphere

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be 18 years or older
  •  Strong intermediate alpine skier or snowboarder
  • Must be able to handle many types of terrain and snow conditions
  • Knowledge about emergency care, lift evacuation & toboggan handling is an asset.
  • Candidates must be flexible to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

The Lift Department will ensure the safe operation of our ski lifts by maintaining the standards set for
both the guest experience and maintenance.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the safe operation of their assigned lift
• Responsible for maximizing uphill capacity for all lifts
• Responsible for focusing on ease of entry in to sport by being empathetic to the needs of our beginner guests
• Provide physical assistance to guests when required
• Ensures all guest using the lift have a valid ticket or pass
• Responsible for establishing and maintaining all operational aspects of all assigned lifts including ramps, tools and signs
• Maintain a high-quality, friendly and cooperative work ethic and interactive relationship with guests, the lift team and other resort staff
• Responsible for duties as assigned by the team leads, supervisors and director

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must possess excellent public relations skills and be of a friendly and co-operative nature
• Must be professional, energetic and dependable

Snow Tubing Operators will continually strive to exceed our guest’s expectations by creating the best memories. They are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our Snow Tube Park, and the safety of the customers that use them. As a front-line employee, you will assist guests in a friendly and efficient manner.

Primary responsibilities

  • Tube Park Operators rotate through various jobs that include the loading and unloading of guests on the lifts, starting the guests down the tube runs, and assisting guests at the bottom of the tube park.
  • Provide physical assistance to guests when required.
  • Ensures all guest using the lift have a valid ticket.
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining all operational aspects of all assigned lifts including ramps, tools and signs.
  • Maintain a high-quality, friendly and cooperative work ethic and interactive relationship with guests, the lift team and other resort staff.
  • Responsible for duties as assigned by the team leads, supervisors and director.
