Drones are becoming increasingly more popular. With the increase in availability there is an inevitable increase in risks associated with these unique devices.
Lakeridge Resort strictly prohibits the operation or use of aerial drones, remotely piloted aircraft systems, model aircrafts, and remote control aircrafts to be flown over resort property, including ski and snow tube runs, chalet, and parking areas. This prohibition includes drones filming or videotaping, as well as any drone used by media or journalists operating above Resort property. This prohibition on drone use extends to any drone launched or operated from Resort property, as well as drones launched from private property outside of the Resort boundaries.
Please contact the resort at josborne@lakeridgeresort.ca if you have any questions.
Any authorized operation of aerial drones may be governed by Transport Canada, the Aeronautics Act, the Canadian Aviation Regulations, local law enforcement, as well as those policies separately established by the Resort, which may include certification, training, insurance coverage, indemnification requirements, and waivers or release of liability. Any violation of this policy may involve the suspension of your guest privileges at the Resort, including skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing and other recreational privileges, as well as confiscation of season passes and rental equipment, and may subject violators to any damage including but not limited to, damages for violations of privacy and physical or personal injuries, or regulatory fines and legal fees.
